We are currently implementing the following projects.

5.1.1.2.i. of the Recovery Fund Operational Programme “Reform 5.1 of the Latvian Recovery and Resilience Mechanism Plan and investment axis “Increasing productivity through increased R&D investment” 5.1.1.r. of reform “Innovation management and motivation of private R&D investment” 5.1.1.2.i. Investments in the “Research and internationalisation support instrument” within the implementation of the second round MASHINBŪVES KOMPETENCES CENTRS SIA from 1 June 2024 to 31 December 2027 December, implements project No. 5.1.1.2.i.0/2/24/A/CFLA/008 “Support for Research at the Mechanical Engineering Competence Centre”.
Within the framework of the project “Support to the Centre of Competence in Mechanical Engineering for Research”, SIA “Termokoksne.lv” and the limited liability company “IR CNC” will launch a joint research project on 1. June sees the launch of research project No. J.1.11 “Development of an innovative technology for the production of ribbon moulds”.
The objective of the research project is to develop an innovative technology (prototype) for the production of band-type templates. The main advantage of the new technology will be its simplicity and ease of use.
The research project is scheduled to run until 31 August 2026. The total cost of the project is estimated at EUR 288,450.00, including EUR 198,530.00 from the European Union’s Recovery Fund.
During the reporting period (06.2025–08.2025), the following was implemented Activity 1 – “Research of principles and design of the technological solution”. As a result of this activity, a technological project was developed. The related interim milestone has been fully achieved.

Within the framework of the Recovery Fund Operational Programme “Latvia’s Recovery and Resilience Mechanism Plan” under Reform and Investment Direction 5.1 “Increasing Productivity through Increased Investment in R&D”, Reform 5.1.1 “Innovation Management and Motivation of Private R&D Investments”, Investment 5.1.1.2.i “Support Instrument for Research and Internationalisation” (second round of implementation), SIA “MAŠĪNBŪVES KOMPETENCES CENTRS” is implementing Project No. 5.1.1.2.i.0/2/24/A/CFLA/008 “Support for Research at the Mechanical Engineering Competence Centre” from June 1, 2024, to December 31, 2027.
Within the framework of the project “Support to the Centre of Competence in Mechanical Engineering for Research”, Termokoksne.lv Ltd. and IR CNC limited liability company will launch a joint venture “IR CNC” on 1 January 2025. The research project No J.1.11 “Development of an innovative technology for the production of ribbon moulds” starts in June.
The aim of the research project is to develop an innovative technology (prototype) for the production of strip moulds. The major advantage of the new technology will be its simplicity and ease of use. The process will not require specific technical knowledge or construction experience, making it accessible to a wider range of users. This will make the solution available not only to professional builders, but also to people with no prior knowledge of wall decoration. This will allow a significant extension of the scope of application, from commercial construction and renovation projects to individual home improvements.
The research project is scheduled to run until 31 August 2026. The total cost of the project is estimated at EUR 288,450.00, including EUR 198,530.00 from the European Union’s Recovery Fund.

Project support for digital skills development
IR CNC Ltd. has received support for the development of digital skills of employees within the project “Development of Digital Skills for the Development of New Products and Technologies in Latvian Companies” (Contract No. 2.3.1.2.i.0/1/24/I/CFLA/002) implemented by the Latvian Digital Accelerator.
About the project
The aim of the project is to boost the competitiveness of Latvian businesses by developing the digital, automation and innovation skills of their employees.
The project provides companies with training in a variety of formats – short training programmes, professional development training in cooperation with internationally recognised higher education institutions, and online training on international learning platforms. In addition, conferences and information events are organised and support is provided for the implementation of digital transformation and the development of new products and services.
The project strengthens the capacity of companies to use digital technologies in business processes, to develop digital management, automation, robotics and innovation, and to promote export development and sustainable entrepreneurship

During the reporting period (09.2025-11.2025) Activity 2 – “Integration and testing of key technological components (including laser sources and head control) in a laboratory environment”. As a result, a prototype of the technological components (including laser sources and head control) was verified in a laboratory environment.
